From Notes to Knowledge Base
Here's the thing about writing a newsletter on emerging technology: your readers want authentic stories, but they also need solid technical resources they can use.
Let's be real - a long article packed with technical specs isn't something you can easily reference later when you're trying to remember that one prompting pattern that worked well.
To fill this gap, I started building a personal knowledge base - curating resources, clarifying AI concepts, and documenting useful prompting patterns. This work was useful for me but I didn't have a good way to share it with people.
At first, I threw these notes into a Github repo to make them public, but as my collection grew, I realized: "I'm basically just building a documentation site."
That's how ai.unknownarts.co came to be - a complementary place where my technical content can live separately from my writing.

The site is evolving as I add new findings, refine existing docs, and improve the information architecture. Building the site myself with Hugo, Tailwind CSS, and Replit allows me to move quickly while also maintaining flexibility to customize the structure to suit the content as it evolves.
This rapid iteration has helped validate some key decisions:
Breaking content into distinct, scalable types (Projects, Patterns, Concepts, Resources)
Building an interconnected web of content rather than organizing everything into rigid categories
Using version control to track how prompts and techniques evolve over time
Building in public means my audience learns alongside me. It's an authentic cycle of learning, sharing, and improving.

In just its first month, the site has grown from a collection of personal notes into a budding learning hub. But what makes this project exciting isn't just what it is today—it's the foundation it creates for tomorrow. I'm focused on:
Building an evergreen site that's useful no matter what's in the headlines
Curating valuable third-party resources from the noisy AI web
Sharing findings and assets from my AI experiments
Improving the site structure to highlight connections between concepts
Creating even stronger links between newsletter pieces and documentation for readers to go deeper
It's still in the early days, but I hope it can become a go-to place for my readers looking to put AI to work in thoughtful, creative ways.
